Die United States Air Force ‚s 226. Kampf Communications Group ist eine Einheit Kampfkommunikationszentrale befindet sich in Abston Air National Guard Station in Montgomery, Alabama , USA. Die Gruppe ist eine von zwei landesweiten Kampfkommunikationsgruppen der Air National Guard, die zusammen über 60 % der taktischen Kommunikationskapazitäten der US Air Force ausmachen. Mission
Die Mission der 226. Combat Communications Group besteht darin, die zugewiesenen und angeschlossenen Streitkräfte zu kommandieren, zu organisieren, auszustatten, auszubilden und zu verwalten, um eine vollständige Einsatzbereitschaft zur Unterstützung der Notfallanforderungen der USAF sicherzustellen und eine rechtzeitige und zuverlässige Kommunikation und Technik sowie Installation zur Unterstützung der staatlichen Notfälle.
Geschichte
Die 226 CCG wurde ursprünglich am 18. Juni 1954 als Teil der 225. Funkstaffel organisiert . Die 225. wurde ursprünglich im März 1953 in Greenville , Mississippi , als Teil der Mississippi Air National Guard organisiert . Die Einheit wurde am 18. Juni 1954 formell organisiert und schließlich der Alabama Air National Guard übergeben und nach Gadsden verlegt .
Am 22. Februar 1971 wurde ein Teil der 225. als Hauptquartier, 226. Mobilkommunikationsgruppe reorganisiert und dem Nationalgarde-Büro zugeteilt. (Der Rest der 225. wurde schließlich die 225. Combat Communications Squadron .) Die Einheit erhielt am 29. September 1971 die staatliche Anerkennung. 1986 wurde die 226. umbenannt und wurde zur 226. Combat Communications Group.
Im Februar 1996 wurde die Konzernzentrale in die Abston Air National Guard Station verlegt.
Die 226. erhielt am 1. Oktober 2013 sieben zusätzliche Staffeln, als die 281. Combat Communications Group inaktiviert wurde (30. September 2013).
