Arthur John Baron (* 5. Januar 1950) ist ein US- amerikanischer Jazzposaunist. Er spielt auch Didgeridoo , Muschelschale , Penny-Pfeife , Alt und Bass Blockflöte und Tuba .

Karriereübersicht

Baron ist Alumnus des Berklee College of Music . Er trat der Duke Ellington Band im August 1973 im Alter von 23 Jahren bei. Im letzten Jahr leitete Ellington die Band und war der letzte Posaunist, den Ellington je engagierte. Baron leitet The Duke's Men, eine Band bestehend aus Duke-Ellington- Band-Alumni. Er hat mit Buddy Rich , Bruce Springsteen , Lou Reed , Stevie Wonder , James Taylor , Illinois Jacquet , Sam Eckhardt, Roswell Rudd , Mel Tormé , Charlie Musselwhite , Andy Harlow (geb. Andre H.
