Canopus ist eine Gattung von Neotropical Bugs mit etwa sechs Arten, die die Bildung von Familie Canopidae . Bugs in der Familie Canopidae ist klein (5-7 mm) lang und hat einen konvexen Marienkäfer Käfer wie Form und ist gedacht um Pilz Zubringer. Das Scutellum bedeckt den Bauch und die Flügel vollständig. Die Antennen sind fünf segmentiert.
