Mandalay Pictures oder Mandalay Vision - ist eine US - amerikanische Filmproduktionsfirma 1995 gegründet, die Teil des Produzenten und Geschäftsmann ist Peter Guber ‚s Mandalay Entertainment . Geschichte
Das Filmstudio wurde zeitgleich mit der Muttergesellschaft Mandalay Entertainment 1995 von Peter Guber gegründet, der zuvor Chef von Sony Pictures Entertainment und The Guber-Peters Company war . Zunächst schloss es einen exklusiven Film- und Fernsehvertrag mit Sony Pictures Entertainment ab , das seine Filme über die Vertriebslabels Columbia und TriStar veröffentlichte.
1997 wurde Ori Marmur, der früher Mitarbeiter des Unternehmens war, zum Production Vice President befördert.
1998 wechselte es von Sony zu Paramount Pictures . Gleichzeitig ging es eine Partnerschaft mit Lionsgate Entertainment ein , um die Vermögenswerte des Unternehmens zu erwerben. Der Deal umfasste nicht die Fernsehsparte, die bei Sony Pictures Entertainment verblieb .
Im Jahr 2002 wurde der Deal von Paramount Pictures auf Universal Pictures übertragen und startete seine internationale Vertriebsabteilung. Im November des Jahres wurde es von Lionsgate Entertainment abgespalten .
2004 verließ Ori Marmur Mandalay Pictures und entschied sich für Original Film . Ironischerweise produziert Original Film die I Know What You Did Last Summer- Filme für Mandalay Pictures.
Im Jahr 2007 gründete es eine Abteilung Mandalay Independent Pictures, die sich auf die Herstellung unabhängiger Bilder konzentrieren sollte. Im Jahr 2010 wurde es Mandalay Vision.
