Die Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa ( Akronym : ANOCA ; französisch : Association des Comités Nationaux Olympiques d'Afrique , ACNOA , arabisch : رابطة اللجان الأولمبية الوطنية في إفريقيا ‎) ist eine internationale Organisation , die die 54 Nationalen Olympischen Komitees (NOCs) vereint. von Afrika . Der Hauptsitz befindet sich derzeit in Abuja , Nigeria . Es fungiert als Nachfolger des 1965 in Brazzaville , Republik Kongo gegründeten Ständigen Ausschusses für afrikanischen Sport oder Comité permanent du sport africain .

Es trifft sich oft mit anderen kontinentalen NOKs in Form der Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC).

Geschichte

Die Vereinigung der Nationalen Olympischen Komitees Afrikas (ANOCA) wurde am 28. Juni 1981 in Lome, Togo, gegründet . Im Juli 1965 wurde in Brazzaville als Comité Permanent du Sport Africain (CPSA) das Standing Committee of African Sports SCAS , der Vorgänger von ANOCA, gegründet. Folglich wurde dieser Titel für das kontinentale Sportgremium am 14. Dezember 1966 in Bamako , Mali, in den Obersten Rat für Sport in Afrika SCSA geändert .
