Die Diözese Sulthan Batheri ist eine der 30 Diözesen der orthodoxen syrischen Kirche von Malankara . Die Diözese wurde 1986 gegründet. Abraham mar Ephipanios ist der Metropolit der Diözese. Der Hauptsitz befindet sich in Nirmalagiri Aramana, Poomala, Sulthan Bathery, Wayanad
Geschichte
Diese Diözese wurde 1986 durch die Organisation von Kirchen in den Distrikten Wayand, Kannur und Nilagiri gegründet. Es war früher ein Teil der Diözese Malabar . Während der ersten Zeit war es direkt unter Katholikos. P. Mathai Nooral wurde der Verwalter. 1991 wurde HGKuriakose mar Clemis Metropolitan der erste Metropolit der Diözese. Der Hauptsitz der Diözesen liegt in der Nähe der Nationalstraße Kozhikodu-Mysore. Es ist 300 m von der Stadt Sulthan Bathery entfernt. Im Jahr 2009 hat Dr. Abraham mar Ephipanios Metropolitan wird Metropolit. Heute gibt es 48 Kirchen unter der Diözese.
